I cant let it cool down because after I fix the X-clamps thing he won’t overheat in a first place…
Xbox shows 3 red lights but wont overheat…
What can be a problem???? -

if you overheat it you have to let it cool down, because an overheated system won’t run right, like with the towel trick, when you do that, you gotta let it cool down before you turn it on, the lights go away, but that trick only fixes it for half an hour, but yeah, let it cool down first, as he said in the video

Once you put it back together and turn it on and the 3 Red lights are on, you let it sit for 20 mins and 2 lights will turn on, do you turn off the xbox then? or wait until it turns itself off?

To my knowledge (i maybe wrong) but an E74 error is a av cable error / video error, so if you clean the metal part of your av cable it may work or if you try to use a new (or some1 elses 1) it may also work. either that or your scaler chip is broken which in that case the only way is to send it off to ms for repair

Do we gotta wait for xbox to cool down again to restart it… Cause when I over heat it and restart my xbox it still has the e74 problem??

Question, i cant rememeber, is the connect wireless controller button meant to make a clicky noise like the disk tray button or is it meant to be quite and not click when pushed?

So is this a “permanent” resolution after you get your RROD?….
and once this is done and your 360 is not RROD will using a fan to keep it cool help it not get RROD again? -

This works by the GPU getting overheated and being knocked out of place by the loose heat sinks causing vibrations. Putting thermal paste helps conduct heat so the xbox works properly.

what you should you do is that you do the same process which is shown in this video. but when you are about to tighten the screw.. just tight all of them and just adjust the screw loosing it up with a 90 degree (left turn) with all the screw then it should work all ready…..

because what has happend it the x clamp has caused the xbox mb to warp when it was hot changing the bolts puts even and minimal pressure on the mb and also pulls the chip onto the board evenly reconnecting the broken circut that caused the RROD

@blackhellsfury
I used #10-32 1/2 in. Steel bolts #10-32 nuts and #10-32 rubber washers. 8 of each. Although if u can find 1/3, or 1/4 inch bolts, I would get those. Idk if they make them, but they would work better.

@ Charfor
Loosen the screws on the case a little bit. Especially the back ones. I noticed the screws were bending my motherboard bc of the nuts on the bottom of the board
