Im pretty sure its not covered by the warranty so if someone could give me the heads up of how much it costs that would be great. One more question. If send in my xbox 360 elite to be repaired, and i get a new xbox, will i be sent back a new elite or the white console?

if uve owned it for more than a yr, then its a 99 buck repair. just lie to em… tell em u got the rrod. thats covered for 3 yrs.
and u probably r gonna get a elite back in the mail, idk i own the wite one so yea…

Do not lie to Microsoft about it being a rrod! They can tell for one that it is not a rrod and for two they will send it back and blacklist your name at the repair center and customer service center as a scammer and probably not repair it at all even if you offer to pay for it. They are highly strict on this rule. But yeah it will probably cost 99 dollars to repair which is cheaper then buying a new one. And the only way you will get a elite back is if you send one in. The warranty will cover that if the console is less then a year old. When you get the console repaired they send you the same type that you send in, so you will get an Elite console back. If the console is more then a year old it will cost you $100 to get fixed. That also comes with a one year warranty.
