I get the same problem but it’s over the whole screen and its all multicoloured dots then it goes white with purple red green and blue dots.
Tried using a different cable but it still does the same thing. Am sure it’s not my TV. Any ideas on what it is?

Today was a sad day as well.
I never thought my xbox 360 elite would fall victim to a failure.
I posted a video on my page on trying different connection cable like Composite, Componet, and HDMI.
my brother was playing COD4 AND all of the sudden the screen went into a solarize state.
I turned off the xbox and it never displayed a picture. -

I’ve had similar things happen to me within this last week. First it would show a red and green tint and now there’s no video at all. I did the towel trick and got it working again for like a day, then it stopped working again. I’ve had to do the trick several times this week, and it’s really starting to annoy me. In fact, it’s sitting in front of my tv cooking inside the towel right now.

Yeah, this happened to me too and I did the towel trick to get it working again. Got a good 5 days before it came back. I’m afraid you’re gonna have to send it back man, thank you Microsoft for shafting Johnny Q Public once again!

Yeah, I thought it was the av cable but it turns out it is actually the ANA chip causing this. I can’t get it to stop. I’ve overheated it a few times just to see if that did the trick and it’s still happening. I can’t send it for repair because my 1 year warrenty is gone, and I’m not paying $130 or whatever the repair cost is to get a refurbished console that might end up breaking in a few days.

Not sure its the AV cable… I’ve tried several, unless it’s the internal bit? It only does this when it gets hot. MS repaired it, but my new one has done it ONCE… i set up another repair and of course it hasn’t done it again!! So I’ll wait and see.

It isn’t the GPU it’s the AV cable. This just happened to me and I’m trying to find a fix cuz I voided my warranty. I’m so sick of Microlazysoft sending consoles back after a month and then a problem occurs one week later.

Mine would pop in and out of being all glitchy. Eventually I gave up on it and just sent it back to Microsoft and they replaced it, now it’s fine! I think the GPU just got too hot and wasn’t working correctly, I’ve had it happen on laptops before and it looks similar.
