    • You cannot fix the E74 error yourself. You will need to get Microsoft to do this for you.

Contact Microsoft (see below) and tell them you have the E74 error. They will send you a box to send it in, provided you are still in warranty and they will fix it for free.

If you are not in warranty then you will need to pay for the repairs.

    • I have lots of methods:
1.Get a vacuum and suck all the dust out of all the holes/sockets visible. Then push plugs in as hard as possible. When turning it back on, hold the the controller recognizer button(the one above the power button)for 5 seconds while pressing the power button hardly for 5 seconds.you
It wouldn’t surprise me if it still doesn’t work.
2.This might just be the stupidest thing you ever hear.Leave the power socket in it & take the hdmi/scart/component cable out. Place it on the floor.Make sure it is horizontal & the disc tray is upside-down. NOW LISTEN CAREFULLY!!! (The reason you have this light is because one of the screws holding the fan clamp is dislodged, creating a large risk of shredding other hardware. Now, you could break the void & screw it back in, but this is what I recommend. Get some scales, make sure your 315 Ib or less,NO MORE. This is the stupid bit…Stand on it.Stand on your xbox 360.Stand on it and move around.Don’t jump on it.Don’t stomp on it.Just stand on it. The screws will hopefully go back in.Worked 9.5 out of 10 times.
