the red ring of death is caused mainly by overheating the processors inside of the xbox. it is a physical hardward malfunction. you could try leaving it on and blocking the vents. however i would recommend that you didn’t do this because it can take months to return and the one light problem can solve itself, as well as return to full functionability.
make sure you don’t do anything to void the warranty though, such as opening the xbox or tampering with it.

don’t do it, you wont realize how much you miss it till its gone mine has been on the road for 1 1/2 monthes…it sucks
