Why do you not want to call xbox customer support? They extended the E74 error to 3 years along with the Red Ring of Death. Call 1-800-4-my-xbox to get it fixed.
Other than calling customer support or taking it apart… well there is nothing else.

there ha ben a sure of calls about this microsoft will fix your xbox for free just go here in register your console even if you have no warrenty they will fix it my xbox just got it 1 day ago lol. heres the link to register your xbox and they also exstend ur warrenty 3 months for this proplam

microsoft will probably do it for free though. i think that link has some stuff on it that might help
