Posted on March 11th, 2010 6 commentsBenjie asked:
Can anyone tell me how to fix an xbox 360 with 3 red lights by my own? I know that Microsoft fixes this problem but apparently, there are no Microsoft service centers here in my place. Does anyone know how microsoft fix this problem? can somebody tell me please? thanks!

Just call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they will set up everything you need…you will probably just have to ship it somewhere..and they pay to have it shipped back

The dreaded ring of death….I’m not sure how Microsoft actually fixes this common problem, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself. If the seal is broken on your 360, your warranty is voided. You can call 1-800-4MY-XBOX(1-800-469-9269) and talk to them. I know it sux, but you may have to send it to Microsoft to have this problem resolved.

Before you send it in you have to at least try this. I know for a fact that you can fix your 360 by overheating it! I did this to mine and it work! First you need to put your 360 in a tight area that you can pack with towels. Pack it on and then turn on the 360. Let it sit for an hour. Come back and turn it off and remove from the towels. Turn it back on and there you go! I would still call customer service but its still fun to try =).

Check the Xbox 360 website or Call Microsoft Tec-Support @ (800) 469-9269. Good luck.
