    • yep you do.

    • I don’t understand what your dvd drive has to do with your xbox overheating? Tampering with the dvd drive will void your warranty and if you decide to go on XBL with a tampered dvd drive (ie: mod’d, flash’d etc) then yes you will be banned from XBL. They will have your ip and never allow you to go on XBL again; however, you can just change your ip address by getting a new network card that assigns a diff one…too much trouble in my opinion.

    • No. The drive has nothing to do with overheating anyway. The problem is that the 360 does not recognize regular replacement drives. If you planned on replacing it, you need a drive from another 360. Otherwise you would have to flash it to trick it into recognizing the drive which will get you banned.
