-make sure you keep the box it came in and the receipt
- yes they did fix the random red ring of deaths, but the red ring of death is your xbox letting you know the system has an error.
-if you do get it, and you know there is nothing wrong at all, call xbox immediately, and demand them to fix it.when the random red ring of deaths happened, it was mainly to the arcade version.

This is highly doubtful, as the 28 million current users of the 360 would certainly demand some sort fix or replacement, which has been estimated at $50 million, though with increasing factory standards they RRoD could potentially be avoidable

Well the latest revision of the 360s are the Jasper chip ones released in late Oct/Nov. I haven’t heard of any RROD on them & hope that remains the case

No, and it will never be fixed. Three flashing red lights isn’t always hardware related. Millions of things can cause it, and not all of them mean the 360 is dead.

the answer to your question is no…sorry but its very true..the reason for this happening is they made the heat sinks smaller inside the xbox so that they could fit the cd drive inside of it…but there is a 3 year warranty for the blinking 3 lights…if you ever experience 1, 2, or 4 lights then it will be a 100 and up fee…if you don’t feel like paying for the flaw microsoft created then there are many videos on how to fix the xbox but if this ever does happen to you NEVER use the “towel trick” yes it works for some but only temporarily and it causes further damage…i’m going through this like millions of others and its not an easy thing..i suggest buying a cooler for your xbox but anyways i hope this gives you an idea of whats going on and i wish the best to you and your 360 lol
