    • follow their guide and if you might be able to send it to them to have it fixed.

did it flash or was it solid? if it was solid, its not tha ring it’s usually a sign of technical difficulty. it could be the position of you xbox, i recomend getting one of those vent fan things for a while and not playing on your xbox as much unitil it isn’t sick anymore. i got that too whenever i played halo, and after getting a vent, it was okay, but if i slightly touched it it would freeze.

    • when you have red ring of death problem. You have 2 options, either you can send your xbox to Microsoft for repair (that will take at least 2 weeks) or you can get it repaired by a local technician (that will take at least $140). But you still can repair your xbox without any technical knowledge. Though this method is bit risky but if you follow proper steps, you can get your xbox 360 repaired within an hour. i guess its worth trying.

    • Hi Brendon,

The problem you are having is typical of the 3 red lights as what happens is the motherboard bends slighlty and the soldering becomes loose and then as the motherboard takes more heat it snaps off which is when you get the 3 red lights.

Before that though like you say you can get random game freezes before the red lights kick in.

You can send it in and Microsoft will fix it for you.

      Hope this helps!

If you bought the insurance or still under the 1 years warranty, you should just phone up Xbox and ask about sending it away, if you do send it away make sure you remove the hard-drive as well as a few of my mates have made this mistake and didnt get it back as Xbox just normally just send you another Xbox as it is too much hassle to fix as the red rings are to do with the motherboard and other components over heating. Unfortunately if you dont have any kind of warranty or insurance you will most likely have to fork out for another xbox…….

      Hope this helps!
