My brother was playing my Xbox 360 and his game froze so he turned it off then when he went to turn it on he got the red ring of death. He took the games out and tried again red ring of death. I let it cool off and then tried it again and the red ring of death. So how can i fix it. Call 1.800.4MY.XBOX.
You can try unplugging everything, take out the hard drive, and then replug everything in. If that doesn’t work, then your best option is to call MS and get it fixed.
the 360 (though I have one and love it) is a cheap design.
my xbox did the same thing, froze, turned it off and RR, so I called up microsoft and they gave me instructions to send it back to them.
however, instead of doing that, I took mine back to Walmart where i bought it, and since I purchased a two-year extended warranty, I was able to convince the manager to swap me for a new xbox (though I don’t think they’re supposta)
if you chose to take it back to where you bought it, be polite, understanding, and lucky!
-Purchasing an external fan was the first thing I did for my new 360. they’re only twenty bucks, and save you a large hassel
If your going to fix your system, (which I recommend) then you’re going to want to do it RIGHT. There are a lot of methods out there that will tell you you need to do this, or that, and honestly a lot of it is bs.
I’ve so far only found one specific method that works consistently and permanently fixes this problem without putting your console in danger.
