In this article you are going to learn the steps that you must take in order to fix Xbox 360 errors such as the red ring of death, crashing and freezing during gaming, the e74 problem, and any other technical difficulty your console may be experiencing. Don’t put up with a broken Xbox 360 any longer- keep reading to learn how you can be gaming again in less than one hour, and all for a minimal amount of effort and cost.

Before you can repair Xbox 360 problems, you need to understand the cause of the error that is affecting your console. In general, the most common hardware issues on the Xbox 360 platform such as the red ring of death, e74 and crashing and freezing are all caused by overheating.

The Xbox 360 has quite a cramped internal case layout, and therefore heat is able to quickly build up during gaming, but cannot escape. Over time this heat causes damage to various components such as the video card (resulting in the red ring of death error) video scaler chip (resulting in the e74 code) or other components such as the hard drive, DVD drive or motherboard.

So how can you repair Xbox 360 console errors, and get gaming again?

One way you could fix your Xbox is to pay somebody else to do the job for you. Look in local newspapers, or on classified websites such as Craigslist, and you will probably see advertisements offering Xbox 360 repair services. The benefit of using one of these is that you will get your console repaired and returned reasonably quickly (usually in a couple of days) However, there is no guarantee that the person who is carrying out the repair job on your Xbox 360 is going to take care of your console, and you will probably have to pay a lot to do it anyway.

Another way is to send Microsoft your Xbox 360, have them repair it, and then send it back to you once the job has finished. What is good about doing this is the fact that you are getting a guaranteed professional repair job on your Xbox 360, as well as the fact that you don’t have to worry about doing anything yourself. However, you will have to wait at least a couple of weeks to get your console back, and even when you do, there is no guarantee that the same problem won’t happen again.

The final method of Xbox 360 repair is to fix your console yourself. Although this might sound stupid and difficult, thanks to the availability of Xbox repair guides, which contain all of the step-by-step video instructions you need, it is actually very easy to fix your Xbox 360 yourself. You can get one of these repair guides online, in digital download format, so all you need is a computer and basic tools such as a screwdriver and a flat bench to be able to repair your Xbox 360 by yourself.
