  • Xbox 360 video problem?

    Always asked:

My younger brother was on the 360 playing Call of Duty: World at War when he said the picture messed up on him. He described it as the pixels jumbling all over the screen. He said the picture looks as if you were playing on a Playstation 2. Then all of a sudden, the picture went blank.

My questions are: How do you fix this? and is there a known video processor problem?

Now before you go on and say check you A/V cables, I want to assure you I know what I am doing. I work at Circuit City, so i get the jist of how these cables work.

I am using the component video cables and the stereo analog cables. All the cables are in the right spot, the strange thing is, the audio works fine.

I switched to using the composite video cable, but still nothing. I used both inputs AV 1 and 2, still no picture. When using the composite cable, I get what looks like green dots scattering across the black screen. No resemblance of Call of Duty or the Xbox 360 dashboard.

The A/V cable is set to TV, not HDTV. Resolution is set to 480, so im ok there.

I thought it might be a bad TV, but its not. I tried the 360 on another TV. Same results. I havent been able to try the cable, but i assume since audio is running, it can’t be the A/V cable.

    Any suggestions?

Oh, it is the Pro edition. 20GB hardrive, but no HDMI out. Its the older version.
No, it does not have red lights. Its not red ringing so its not a error.
