First off, I need to stress that if your Xbox 360 is still under warranty then the Xbox 360 3 red light error can be simply fixed by sending it back to Microsoft for repair. If its under warranty then this is free. However, you will have to wait around 2-4 weeks to get your machine back. I certainly didn’t want to wait that long.

All you need are some simple tools such as a screwdriver set, a flat bench, and, of course, an Xbox 360 e74 repair guide.
