Was playing Oblivion when Xbox make short loud noise, and froze with the picture looking like little squares of it had jumped sideways. Switched off and on, played ok for a bit, then got a screen of pinstripes. Turned off and on, and got RROD (first segment not on). Unplugged everything and plugged it all back in and the red ring has gone, switches on fine but won’t play for long before either of the above graphics errors and freezing. Now, clearly needs repairing (unless anyone has any other ideas – not modded, btw), but should I take it for a RROD repair, since it had one, or to somewhere that does more diagnostics, since the ring has gone??
