I have sent the xbox 360 in 3 times to Microsoft for the 3 red lights fix. WHY HAVEN’T THEY FIXED IT!!! Isn’t suppose too be permanent ? I have heard that the only permanent way to fix it is to apply thermal paste to the CPU and GPU is it true????????

    • If it was as easy as applying thermal paste, don’t you think Microsoft would do it?

If you’ve sent it back that many times, talk to tech support and insist they send you a different one this time.

    • Yeah, they may have not sent back the same unit, in fact, if it was a quick turn around, you probably got a refurbished unit as well.

But yes, thermal paste does help, but you have to re-solder the connection and screw down the x-clamps as well
