Xbox 360 E74 Error – Can I Send It In To Microsoft?

My Xbox 360 got the 1 red ring, and the E74 error message. I tried everything I could do to fix it, and read all the stuff about it, like unplug wires, hard drive, and it did not work. I bought my xbox on July 28th, 2008, so is it still under warranty, so will Microsoft fix it for free??? Any help is greatly appreciated, and I will give 10 points to the best answer.

Right now I am in the same boat. I am about to throw my xbox out my window and buy a playstation. Microsoft SHOULD fix it for free. If you complain to them enough they will do it, thats just how good their service is. haha
