The X-box machine built by Microsoft has found millions of users worldwide because of the benefits it offers to the video game enthusiasts. The X-box machine is now present in most homes as just not kids but even adults use the machine to regale themselves. The X-box presents a wide range of video game applications because of which its popularity has increased all over the world. Every home in the developed world has a video machine and most of them are shifting to the X-box.

The X-box however these days is showing many problems due to certain in-built problems relating to the hardware. There are many important components inside the X-box such as the software applications, the chipsets powering the central processing unit and the hard disk drive that stores the game applications. All these components of the X-box have to perform effectively to render a hassle free performance. However, it has been noticed that the problems relating to the hardware is affecting the performance of the X-box.

The level of the problem in the X-box is indicated by the ring of light on the console of the machine. The ring of light shows in phases. Whenever the machine is in use, a minor light around the ring glows. As the usage pattern increases, the glow of the light also increases. Ensure that the light glow does not cross the dangerous level. The dangerous level is indicated by the entire ring of light glowing on the console. If the entire ring of light glows, it could mean the end of the machine. The X-box will hang and the machine will stop working. Consequently, the ring of light is now often referred to as the red ring of death by the X-box users. When the machine reaches the red ring of death stage, the users cannot repair it on their own without help they can get a guide. But if it is under warrenty you should take it to Microsoft.

However, Microsoft claims that the problem relating to the red ring of death falls within the normal parameters of consumer electronics failures. However, many X-box users in the recent times have expressed their dissatisfaction over the performance of the machine.
